Who doesn’t like a fun dip for veggies? It’s a super easy snack, and fun for everyone! My boys are growing, and they really  like to snack! I don’t mind them fueling their bodies at any time of the day, as long as they’re eating the right foods!

Most conventional dips bought in stores are loaded with preservatives, artificial colours, sugar and salt. In short, they’re garbage. Even organic dips and dressings are usually laden with preservatives, in order to keep them shelf stable in stores. I would much rather make my own healthy, delicious veggie dip- that way, I know exactly what my kids are eating! Plus, it never hurts to sneak in a little extra nutrition where I can!

Tahini is made from sesame paste, and is traditionally served in Arabic cuisine. This dip riffs of of those flavours, amping up the nutritional value with pureed avocado, spinach, cauliflower, pumpkin seed oil, help seeds and olive oil, as well as lemon! All of these ingredients are staples in my house, mainly because they’re SO good for you!

When pureeing everything together, taste test it intermittently to determine whether or not the seasoning should be adjusted. I like to keep sodium levels down, but you’re welcome to add a bit more salt if you like.

Green Tahini Deep

Ingredients
  • Lemon juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 tbsp Tahini Seed Paste
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 3 florets Cauliflower
  • 3 tbsp Pumpkin seeds oil
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
  1. 1. In a blender, puree all ingredients until smooth. For an even smoother texture, add a bit more water.


    2. Serve with veggies.
